29

My boyfriend just turned 29 yesterday.
We had dinner at Mandarin Oriental's fabulous Chinese restaurant, Lai Po Heen with the buds, Azhar and Raez plus Imran and Zurin who joined us after dinner.

Azhar and I went through great lengths to plan this surprise dinner for Bobby PLUS we had to make sure he didn't sneak off and pay for the whole thing as he usually does. I know he means well but hey, it's not right to pay for dinner on your birthday! Anyways, he's always saying that we should treat him to dinner at MO and I bet he loved the suprise.

We were given a private room (that totally rocked!) and had the Opal set which consisted of 9 whole courses (which we couldn't finish) not including Durian Pancakes which stood in place of a traditional b'day cake. Durian Pancakes are Lai Po Heen's signature dessert and if you love durians, this will blow your mind away as I've been told. But if you're anything like me (I hate durians), pass it on to your loved ones who do and they will be eternally grateful! Hehehehehe

So dinner was great, service was excellent and the company even better, but the best part was cuddling at home with my baby. ^_^

On Black

This is Kavita, sister of Karisma and Karina. Made specially for Yi Ling who wanted this jeans inspired piece for casual wear.
Made with imported silver dangle, 4mm Turquoise Swarovski crystals and 4mm Silver Czech Teardrops + a chain in the middle with a dangling 4mm Swarovski bead (not visible from this angle)

While making this piece, I thought of Madeline the kind and big hearted little French schoolgirl. If you have a little girl of your own, you want her to watch this particular cartoon because not only was Madeline kind but she was brave and SMART; Heck, everyone could take a cue from her! Anyways, I'd like to think that Madeline would wear something like this when she grows up. ^_^
I have already sold this set, but if you'd like something similar, drop me a line.
This set was made with 5mm Rosaline & 4mm Light Amethyst Swarovski crystals, 6mm Opal Pink Czech Teardrops and lots and lots of wire wrapping.
Retailed @ RM110/US$31.50

Wrapped in Butterflies

Couldn't resist this wrapping paper and I just had to go overboard with the whole butterfly theme.

Can you spot the butterfly among the ribbons?

Karisma, Karina and Dancing Aurora

I was so busy last week that I didn't have time to make any new lovelies so I made my way to Mont Kiara a little earlier than usual and made some new and exclusive earrings before the lunch crowd swarmed the place.

Karisma. Don't you just love the combination of gold and pink? Just as I was making this pair, a lovely lady wanted it for herself. Luckily I managed to take the pictures above since I only had one pair of this particular finding in gold!
Karisma was made with gold plated imported dangles, 4mm & 5mm Swarovski crystals in Rose and Light Rose + gold beads.

Karina. This is such a sweet, sweet pair of earrings. I made Karina with Natalie in mind and I'm glad she was happy with the end result. ^_^
Karina was made with silver plated imported dangles, 4mm & 6mm Swarovski crystals in Rose and Light Rose + 4mm Czech Teardrops in Opal Pink. I still have one more pair of this particular dangle so if you want a pair similar to this, I can make it but I WILL NOT repeat this design. Sorry.

Dancing Aurora. This pair started out without a name but when my cousin snapped them up for her mom who loves to dance, Dancing Aurora came to mind. I love how they sparkle.
Silver plated imported chandelier earring finding + 4mm & 3mm Swarovski crystals in Aurora Borealis.

These new findings were rather hard to find not to mention costly. Had to limit myself to a pair or two of each design hence the exclusivity. If you'd like a pair for yourself, email me but be quick as they're going as fast as I can make them!

Have a closer look of the earrings here.

Beta Schmeta

Just when I get this blog to look the way I like, Blogger has this new version in Beta!
I'm all for upgrading...
problem is, if I upgrade this blog
I'm going to lose all of my template editing!
So not fair -_-

Bear with me now while I figure out how to save this template.

Custom Design

A big THANK YOU to those who came to my stall last Sunday!
I love, love, LOVE people who ask for custom designs and I had quite a number of ladies who did just that.

Laura loved her necklace but felt that she needed it to be made shorter.

Esther adored Tender Pink but wanted
something simpler for the office, so Tender Blossom was created.

Then I made this little pearl and crystal number for Janice to complement her off-white wedding dress. Very simple and can always be worn after the wedding.

And later on, 3 lovely ladies came by to gab and had a few things made for them while darling Natalie stood by patiently, even while it poured cats and dogs, for me to finish her pieces. Thanks for being so patient Natalie, and I must say our conversation of the woman psyche was very interesting. ;) hehehe

NOTICE: Please feel free to tell me what you like or don't like about my designs k, cause I'll gladly alter them for you or even make a brand spanking new piece based on your own designs and colors! Drop me an email for more info.

Comment Moderation??? Oh NO!

I've been a nincompoop and a half.
I forgot that I had Comment Moderation on this blog and that I'm supposed to check every now and then to publish the comments made.
-_- I'm such a silly ninny, I am.

So sorry to those who've made comments in the past...
I really appreciate that you took time out to comment on my posts and pictures and I hope you don't think that I was being a snob by not posting your comments.
I'm really nice, honest!

Arrrgghh!
I feel like banging my head with the laptop right now -_-

Tender Pink

A departure from my usual style, Tender Pink that you see here is from a line of earrings I call Tender Tendrils.

The earrings were made with Czech flowers and leaves, silver beads and Swarovski crystals on a silver chain, topped with fish hook earring wires that are all the rage at the moment.

It took me forever to get the proportions right and I love the way they turned out: whimsical, yet feminine.
Retails @ RM30/US$9

Love Me Please

Got milk?, originally uploaded by Cora.

Stumbled on this picture on Flickr and thought I'd share it.
The picture was taken at a private shelter for strays and these cuties just happened to all look up at the same time...
Notice how the cats' tails are forming a heart?
It's kismet I tell you.
