"Cikgu Murni"

Funny how things turn out.
I was at Mont Kiara a while back to pay my bi-weekly rental fees when I was told that since I paid late (a week later than usual), I'd be given a crappy spot.
I swallowed my pride and took their crappy spot anyways.
As I walked dejectedly back to the lifts, I spied an itty bitty poster for an arts and crafts center.
Hah! A "Center for Creative Learning" right under my nose all this time!
So I moseyed my way to Block B of Mont Kiara
and found the place really really nice (didn't expect it to be that nice honestly) and the Manager even nicer!

Joy (the even nicer Manager) was very helpful as we chit chatted about the classes on offer and I tentatively asked her if she ever taught about offering jewelry making classes.
Her eyes gleamed.
Yes, g l e a m e d.
"No, we don't," she replied.
"But we would love to," she ventured.
"Ahhhh..." said I.
"But I can teach it!" I proclaimed.
"Joy!" said Joy.
Hehehe no lah. The conversation didn't quite go that way but you get my drift =)
Many many meetings later, here I am, the new Beaded Jewelry instructor of
Sophia: Center for Creative Learning (More info on the Class will be up soon on this site and on Sophia's. Check back periodically)

Oh and by the way, the crappy spot in Mont Kiara didn't turn out to be crappy at all.
Way to go ABC Market Management team!

Cause for Celebration

I got an interesting email this morning.
It was a very polite and prompt reply to my query last night.
So I followed the link and.... (drum roll please)
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
I'VE THE HIT THE MOTHERLOAD!
I now know where all KL's artists and craftspersons get their supplies!!!!
WoooOoOoHooOoOooo!
Why the excitement?
Well, do you know HOW HARD it is to get a decent arts and crafts store in KL???
It's ridiculous how serious the problem is to get say, polymer clay for example.
I've gone to all the so called arts and crafts supply stores but to no avail and all the artisans that I've asked can't/won't tell...
HAH! IN YOUR FACE!!

Ah well, looks like I'll be very very broke this month but I don't mind : )

To Sew Or Not To Sew?

I've fallen in love with a sewing machine.
It costs $1800.

It can do all sorts of wavy + squiggly designs, it can sew on jeans and if you link it up to your PC, it can embroider any design!

Coolness.

But if I get a sewing machine I have to forget about getting a PDA.

*Pening Kepala* Decisions, decisions, decisions!

Sewing Machine = will be able to fully unleash the creative demon within and design one of a kind masterpieces resulting in higher demand for PureMoon stuff making me rich, rich,RICH! (I hope)

PDA = will be able to restrain the creative demon within and have better time management resulting in better business deals making me rich, rich, RICH I TELL YOU!!! (I hope)

What to do, oh what to do?

Visit my dream PDA at Dopod

Oh dear

It's been awhile hasn't it?
In fact, I haven't even been to Mont Kiara in 2 weeks!

Why, you ask?
Well, I'm working at this event management company on a part time basis but if you know anything about event management companies, there's no such thing as "part-time."

They've got me doing all sorts of things man...
From writing to reccees, from decorations to liasons!
Jeez.
But yeah, I'm learning a lot on this job and making loads of great contacts, so I guess I'm thankful... I should be, shouldn't I?

During one of our reccee meetings at Cherating last weekend. We were frustrated.... Why?

That's why. I didn't even get to step on the beach! *sob*sob*

Fans that I decorated for an event last Tuesday. Seems that my butterfly trademark has caught on...
