I've Been Busy

These last couple of days I've had to:
:: Prepare samples and syllabus for my new Beaded Jewelry class
:: Finish up all internet jewelry orders and mail them by today
:: Finish up the text for a website that I'm working on
:: Prepare for an upcoming presentation
:: Make Christmas pressies for my friends who celebrate
Like I said: I've been busy.

P/S: Managed to squeeze in a little bloghopping time today (to destress you know. Ha Ha Ha) and stumbled onto this little gem of a story. One Red Paper Clip. Check out the blog or watch the story on YouTube. It's about this one guy who starts out by trading one red paper clip and in 14 trades, HE GETS A HOUSE! My hero!

Gaea

Gaea was inspired from a recent toga party.
No, I didn't actually go to one but saw it on TV...
Yes, I do realize that sounds kinda pathetic -_-

Anyways, Gaea was snapped up the moment I put it up on display at my stall and I've a few orders to recreate it.
Not so pathetic now huh? He he he.

Here's a little trivia for you (stolen from this site):
Gaea, or Mother Earth, was the great goddess of the early Greeks. She represented the Earth and was worshipped as the universal mother. In Greek mythology, she created the Universe and gave birth to both the first race of gods (the Titans) and the first humans.

Gaea was wire wrapped with 2 different sizes of wire. It took me 2 days of sketching and a full day at the workshop to come up with this design! Whew! Retails @ RM54/US$15.50

Branch

These were such a hit with my students that I decided to sell them.

Black Branch. I guess the name speaks for itself huh? ^_^ Wire wrapped "branch" with Swarovski crystal "buds" in Jet + Russian cut crystal in Black. Retails @ RM20/US$6.




Red Branch is a lot more delicate and measures slightly longer than Black Branch, but I like them the same. Wire wrapped "branch" with Czech glass "buds" in Red + Czech glass teardrop in Red too. Retails @ RM20/US$6.

Anggun means Elegance in Malay, my native tongue. It is indeed an elegant piece if I do say so myself. Meant to be worn with style and sophistication. How to Buy a PureMoon Product

I accept funds transfer or cash deposits via my Maybank account or credit card payments via PayPal. Read below for the step by step guide to buying a PureMoon product.

Look at my Toes!

Aren't they pretty?I treated myself to a pedicure after a rewarding day of shopping and thought I'd try something different.
It's simple and girly, I just loooove the little green "diamond" on my flower.
I've been really careful to wear only open toe shoes but it's awfully distracting as I find myself looking down and admiring my big ol' toes every couple of minutes!
I'm so going to do this again.

Sick of the Computer Screen

I've been blogging since 4pm today... *yaaAaWwwnn!*

Loops and Tassels

Loopies are great either dressed up or down, for the office or for clubbing, for lazing around or for power vacuuming the house (Tried and tested by yours truly). They're just great for everything and for every occasion!

Angels and Butterflies

My handphone charm Angels are made with all Swarovski beads and components. Great for Christmas or for someone who needs a little guardian angel in their life. I can also convert the little lovelies to a pendant if you should so desire. Retails @ RM22/US$6.50.

Chinese Buttons and Bangles

Traditionally used on Qipao, these handmade Chinese Buttons are affixed on barrette clips or hair clips for something different and ornate. Retails @ RM8/US$2.50

Last Friday

Last Friday I got dolled up for yet another dinner at Mandarin Oriental.
It was the Malaysian Financial Market Association annual dinner of which the boyfriend is a member.
Now, I would usually try to weasel my way out of anything corporate related (ask the boyfriend) but not this particular annual dinner...
You wanna know why??
Because these Financial Market boys sure know how to par-tayy!
There were free flow liquor and beer all night long not to mention a grand 9 -course Chinese dinner plus RM70,000 worth of prizes for lucky draws! (We didn't win... BooHooo!)
There were also some notable local celebrities in attendance:
Maya Karin emceed, Ning Baizura sang and Phua Chu Kang entertained!
I still can't get over the fact that Mr Gurmit Singh a.k.a. Phua Chu Kang can actually sing... O_o

After getting pretty soused (sorry dad), we headed on to Cynna to celebrate the boyfriend's birthday again.
I got him the traditional "Happy Birthday" Flaming Lamborghini which I ended up sharing with him and god knows how fast the 2 bottles of Chivas went.
Bumped into 2 really old friends, tried to hook up them up, schmoozed with the usual suspects, wiggled around to the music, had some shits and giggles but I've definitely outgrown excessive drinking and clubbing.
Nowadays I'd actually like to hear what I'm saying and I hate having to jostle people out of the way just to get anywhere.... I also hate having to put up with rude, obnoxious and drunken behaviour of teeny boppers and I hate waking up the next day feeling all lethargic and dim witted due to the alcohol in my system.
I just have to admit it: I'm an adult now....
Ooh noOoOoo!!!!!

On an Imposed Break

Hello Ladies,
I won't be at Mont Kiara on the 3rd and 10th of December.
I actually missed last week's registration by 30 minutes and didn't manage to secure a stall.
I'll be back on the 17th of December and will hopefully not miss anymore registrations.
Very sorry for any inconvenience caused but I'll back with more beaded goodies, I promise ;)
